KW was founded in 1995 and at the beginning it only existed of three employees and had an operating area of 1600 sq.ft. Today, KW automotive GmbH is represented all over the world and has approx. 200 employees in five locations. After numerous expansions at the company headquarters in Fichtenberg, the overall production- and floor space now stretches over 247,500 sq.ft. The continually growing delivery programme includes many thousand applications.

KW manufacture an extensive range of suspension applications. The company is extremely well known for it's road and race coilover products but also have a range of springs, anti roll bars, electronic damping systems, hydraulic lift systems for very low cars and Dynamic Level Controls. The suitability of any of these products can be checked on the KW website to ensure they will fit on your vehicle then can be ordered from us. We can even provide a fitting and alignment service to get the most out of your new purchase where possible.

'INOX' LINE COILOVERS
Street Comfort
​
Is your sport suspension too firm? Do you want a sporty look and driving dynamics without having to compromise comfort? KW offers the solution with the Street Comfort suspension – the comfortable sport suspension for a subtle suspension lowering and guaranteed perfect level thanks to the height-adjustment options of a KW coilover suspension. The handling or the comfort can be individually increased as desired via the integrated rebound adjustment. This way the KW Street Comfort coilovers offer the perfect compromise of driving dynamics and ride comfort.
Variant 1
The KW coilover kit Variant 1 “inox-line” is the ideal entry-level system for customers who want the technically lowest possible suspension setting or for those who want to customize their own. In extensive road tests, our experienced engineers developed a target group - specific setup by establishing an optimum balance of sportiness, comfort and safety and then implementing this in the series.
Variant 2
The KW coilover kit Variant 2 “inox-line” is the suspension kit for the accomplished sports driver who wants a customized vehicle lowering with the ability to make adjustments in setup. The individually adjustable rebound stage damping ensures a better connection on fast road sections and an easier vehicle control. The driving comfort on poor road surfaces can significantly be influenced with a customized rebound stage damping.
Variant 3
With compression and rebound stage damping, that can be set separately and independently of each other, the damper setup can be customized to your personal driving preferences or vehicle changes such as weight, tire characteristics, or altered vehicle rigidity. True performance optimization is only possible with this unique, patented system. For example, this allows the compression damping force to be increased and get more grip from the tires, to improve cornering behavior and reduce squat without simultaneously altering the rebound stage damping which is optimally matched to the spring rate – a scenario which results in reduced grip and the associated loss of performance.
Variant 4
With the KW Variant 4 coilover suspension “inox-line” we combine our leading racing technology with a significant increase of everyday suitability for numerous high-performance vehicles. This enables an independent adjustment of the rebound stage damping as well as low-speed and high-speed compression stage damping. KW supplies the Variant 4 with a vehicle-specific performance setting. With the adjustable dampers, drivers can – if necessary – quickly change to a comfort setting by using the integrated setting dials on the damper.
CLUBSPORT 2/3 WAY

Street-legal race track performance! KW Clubsport provides cutting-edge motorsports technology for the sportiest road vehicles with a sports-tire setup for use on the race track and road. KW Clubsport was developed specifically for customers who want to use their road vehicle on the race track, for example at tourist drives, sports driver courses, or other track sport events and need it to be street-legal so that they can drive their car on public roads. The setup was specially designed for the Nordschleife and the use of sports tires. The height-adjustment possibilities enable an adaptation of the wheel loads. The before mentioned adjustment possibilities combined with the separately adjustable damping technology for the compression and rebound stage (TVR-A and TVC-A technology) enable customized setups appropriate for the vehicle weight, the tire characteristics, various road conditions and driving conditions.

The vehicle-specific basic setup of the KW Clubsport 3-way coilover suspension which was developed in numerous test drives and measurement runs on the Nordschleife and the KW 7-post drive dynamics test stand, can further be adapted via the click dial to the wheel loads, vehicle weight and altered body rigidity due to a bolted cage, welded safety cell or strut brace. The possibility to adjust high speed compression damping on the Clubsport 3-way adds another tuning element for the hardcore track car enthusiast.

The versatility of the KW Competition suspension kits accommodate a broad range of different pavement surfaces, radius of turns, and elevation changes. The KW Competition kit has been the mainstay of many top teams racing at the most demanding race track in the world - Nurburgring Nordschleife, aka the "Green Hell".
KW's renown test center provides the ability for our competition department to progress in specific areas of vehicle suspension setup in a confidential environment. The hydraulic 7-post rig can be activated in various modes such as 7 post and 4 post sweep.
Depending on the type of race car, between 50 to 100 measurements can be recorded each day. Compared to the race track environments ,there is no wear and tear on the vehicles and racetrack fees along with testing times are reduced significantly. The KW test center is open to all teams regardless of their brand of suspension on their vehicle.
KW Competition coilovers are available in many different combinations, including 2 / 3 / 4 and even 5 way levels of adjustment. They are the ultimate track tuning tool for your race car. Each set is made specifically for your demands that you specify on your KW Competition questionnaire. A full compliment of spring rates is available to further enhance the tunability of your investment.
DDC
Experience the innovation and quality of high-end “made in Germany” engineering: the KW DDC (Dynamic Damping Control) coilover suspension with ECU (Electronic Control Unit). The coilover suspension with its electronically adjustable dampers combines, for the first time, intelligent, app-controlled suspension tuning with customized suspension lowering. This gives you the opportunity to upgrade your vehicle with an adaptive damper control and, if desired, tune it to your requirements and way of driving. Included in the package are a KW “inox-line” coilover suspension with high-quality stainless steel struts, electronically adjustable dampers, a high-performance control unit with a vehicle-specific set of cables and a KW DDC button for control from the cockpit, as well as elaborate assembly instructions for an easy installation.

HLS
HYDRAULIC LIFT SYSTEM
Due to their low center of gravity, many super cars have less ground clearance. In order to be able to drive over speed bumps or steep ramps in parking garages without any problems, KW have developed the KW Hydraulic Lift System. At the touch of a button the HLS system lifts vehicles by up to 45 millimeters allowing obstacles to be negotiated without a problem. Compatible with KW coilover suspension or with the original suspension depending on vehicle type and application. With the HLS Lift Kit, obstacles such as parking garages, garage entrances, speed bumps or rough roads are no problem even for lowered vehicles or vehicles with little ground clearance. The vehicle equipped with the lift kit can be lifted by up to 45 mm in order to drive over obstacles that would not be possible with the normal vehicle height. Depending on the vehicle type and model, the lift kit is available as a vehicle-specific solution or as an individual conversion kit.
The lift kit is available in two different versions: HLS 2, which is installed on the front axle and HLS 4, which can also be installed on the rear axle if required, allowing the entire vehicle to be lifted. The hydraulic cylinder unit is mounted on the coilover suspension between the spring plate and the spring. The advantage of a hydraulic system is that during driving no compression (movement) of the extended cylinder unit (no unwanted additional suspension) occurs. The KW HLS lift kit is available as a complete suspension solution in combination with a KW coilover suspension or as a retrofit kit for standard suspension systems as well as KW coilovers, consisting of springs, adaptations, hydraulic cylinders and complete control unit.
